Dear Delegates,

It is my privilege to welcome you all to ILMUNC India 2026. At this conference you will be given the unique opportunity to engage with students who take positions completely different from your own, while simultaneously working towards similar end goals. It’s in that seemingly contradictory space where the greatest amount of learning and progress occur. Model UN is not just about finding solutions to some of the world’s most challenging problems: it’s about forging meaningful connections with peers whom you may not have otherwise had the opportunity to meet. It’s my job as Secretary-General to ensure that this conference is a success. With that in mind, I need your help to make that success a reality. Regardless of the position you have, or the committee you're in, success of this conference is defined by real learning and real connection. You all have the individual responsibility to take the first step towards building that foundation.

ILMUNC is a global organization, hosting conferences in Philadelphia, China, Vietnam, Peru, and of course, India. While this may just be one conference, it’s your gateway into the broader ILMUNC network. I am deeply thankful for the diligence and dedication of this year’s Secretariat, and equally grateful to our host, Amity University, for graciously hosting ILMUNC India.

As you prepare for this conference, I hope you remain true to the values of diplomacy, teamwork, leadership, and learning. Your experience at ILMUNC is far more than any award could represent, because your time as a delegate at this conference equips you with the skills necessary to begin your journey as a leader of tomorrow, today.
